Changing Places

The changing places campaign highlights the fact that many people are unable to use an ordinary accessible toilet. This film shows you how having a changing place toilet can make a real difference to people's everyday life.

This is film shows you what many families have to face if they want to leave the house for  few hours.

The Changing Places consortium started by creating an awareness that many people with profound and multiple learning disabilities cannot use a standard accessible toilet. A changing places toilet needs to have a ceiling hoist, a height adjustable bed, and plenty of space.

Since the campaign started many public arenas have put changing places toilets into their buildings. This is really good but many more are still needed.
